He is interested in feedback and suggestions to better address the scientific question and incorporate the most appropriate models for Alzheimer’s Disease. Dr. Lear’s research focuses on proteostasis in aging and neurodegeneration\, and the intersection of the ubiquitin proteasome system and the auto-lysosome system. \nThis is not a formal talk\, and discussion and critique are very much welcome!

DESCRIPTION:“Enlightening the Brain’s Neural Circuits Improves Our Understanding of Cognitive Dysfunction.” \nDr. Federico Bermúdez Rattoni is an Emeritus Professor in the Neurosciences Division at the Cellular Physiology Institute\, National University of Mexico (UNAM). He earned a medical degree from UNAM and a Ph.D. from UCLA. Throughout his career\, he has been honored with several prestigious awards\, including the Guggenheim Fellowship\, the National Research Prize of Mexico\, and the National University Award. He was also elected as an External Fellow at the CNLM at UC Irvine. DESCRIPTION:“Examining Treatment Relapse and Caregiver Treatment Adherence during Treatment of Pediatric Feeding Disorder” \nDr. Sarah Haney McDevitt is a doctoral-level Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Senior Behavior Analyst in the Pediatric Feeding Disorders Program at the Kennedy Krieger Institute. She is also an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. McDevitt has conducted research on the assessment and treatment of pediatric feeding disorders and has authored book chapters in addition to publications in peer- reviewed journals such as the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis. Dr. McDevitt has served as a guest reviewer for various peer-reviewed journals and currently serves on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis.
