SUMMARY:Human Neuroscience Trainee Seminar Series (Hybrid): Carrisa Cocuzza\, Postdoctoral Fellow\, Supervisor: Avram Holmes
DESCRIPTION:“Cognitive fog in long COVID: brain network dynamics in a densely-sampled case study”\nThe Rutgers Brain Health Institute (BHI) and Center for Advanced Human Brain Imaging Research (CAHBIR) are hosting a seminar series on the last Monday of each month. This series features presentations by graduate students and postdoctoral scholars\, providing a platform to share their research with the broader Rutgers neuroscience community. It is open to all trainees conducting human neuroscience research in BHI laboratories. This is a great opportunity to: \n\nGain experience presenting research\nReceive feedback from peers\nPrepare for conferences\, job talks\, and dissertations\n\nDate: Monday\, March 31\, 2025 \nTime: 12 PM\, Lunch Provided \nZoom: https://rutgers.zoom.us/j/98124487248?pwd=hVE13L7ktwk1Iwa9SNvUWJ3kpQDqNw.1 \nMeeting ID: 981 2448 7248 | Password: 626402 \nIn-Person Location: Room 127\, Staged Research Building (SRB)\, Busch Campus \nSpeaker: Carrisa Cocuzza\, Postdoctoral Fellow\, Supervisor: Avram Holmes \nTalk Title: “Cognitive fog in long COVID: brain network dynamics in a densely-sampled case study” \nRSVP: If you plan to attend in person\, please complete this form to help us estimate the number of lunches needed. \n  \nInterested in Presenting? \nTrainees may present experimental plans\, pilot data\, or complete research. Talks can also be used to prepare for conferences\, job talks\, or other professional presentations. If you would like to present at an upcoming seminar\, please email contact Noelle Stiles (ns1608@rutgers.edu) with your talk title and a brief abstract. To reserve your presentation date\, please fill out this form. \n

SUMMARY:Department of Genetics & Human Genetics Institute of New Jersey Research Seminar: Federico Bermudez-Rattoni\, MD\, PhD
DESCRIPTION:“Enlightening the Brain’s Neural Circuits Improves Our Understanding of Cognitive Dysfunction.” \nDr. Federico Bermúdez Rattoni is an Emeritus Professor in the Neurosciences Division at the Cellular Physiology Institute\, National University of Mexico (UNAM). He earned a medical degree from UNAM and a Ph.D. from UCLA. Throughout his career\, he has been honored with several prestigious awards\, including the Guggenheim Fellowship\, the National Research Prize of Mexico\, and the National University Award. He was also elected as an External Fellow at the CNLM at UC Irvine. His research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of neuronal plasticity related to memory consolidation and updating\, demonstrating that dopaminergic circuits regulate memory recognition\, particularly in relation to Alzheimer’s disease. \nHost: Dr. Gleb Shumyatsky \nThis seminar is partially supported by funding from the Herbert and Jacqueline Krieger Klein Alzheimer’s Research Center in the Brain Health Institute \nJoin Zoom Meeting:\nhttps://rutgers.zoom.us/j/93469751944?pwd=nhlscTQFxXgK3U0gOnNIm1yBAPcYEK.1 \nMeeting ID: 934 6975 1944\nPassword: 913867
