Center for Advanced Human Brain Imaging Research (CAHBIR): 2026 Pilot Grants for Human Neuroimaging Studies
The Rutgers Brain Health Institute (BHI) and Center for Advanced Human Brain Imaging Research (CAHBIR) are pleased to announce the availability of funds for pilot grants for human neuroimaging studies for RU-NB faculty and their collaborators.
Submission deadline: Applications are due by May 4, 2026.
Awards will be announced by June 15, 2026.

BHI-CAHBIR Trainee – RU-NB Faculty Collaborative Pilot Grant Program
The Rutgers Brain Health Institute (BHI) and the Center for Advanced Human Brain Imaging Research (CAHBIR) are pleased to announce the availability of $35,000 Trainee-RU-NB Faculty Collaborative Pilot Research grants to fund neuroimaging research by RU-New Brunswick graduate students and post-doctoral fellows and their faculty mentors at CAHBIR.
BHI-CAHBIR Pilot Research Pilot Grant Program for RU-New Brunswick Faculty

The Rutgers Brain Health Institute (BHI) and the Center for Advanced Human Brain Imaging Research (CAHBIR) are pleased to announce the availability of $40,000 Training and Pilot Research mini-grants to fund RU-New Brunswick faculty in initiating neuroimaging research at CAHBIR.
BHI-CAHBIR Collaborative Supplement Grant Program
The Rutgers Brain Health Institute (BHI) and the Center for Advanced Human Brain Imaging Research (CAHBIR) are pleased to announce the availability of $60,000 collaborative supplement grants to allow researchers with existing or pending federal, state or foundation grants to add a neuroimaging aim to their research. Because a goal of these grants is to spur cross-school collaboration, at least one member of the research team must be RU-NB faculty.
