Rutgers Health and the Rutgers Brain Health Institute (BHI) hosted Postdoc Peek, a two‑day, all‑expenses‑paid on‑campus visit for invited senior graduate students and early postdoctoral fellows. We received more than 80 applications from across the country and selected 13 highly qualified candidates. Participants explored postdoctoral training and research opportunities across a broad range of disciplines at Rutgers, connected with faculty members, and learned about research and campus life throughout the university. Nine candidates visited the New Brunswick/Piscataway campus on May 19–20, and four candidates visited the Newark campus on May 31–June 1.

The May 20 visit included a full lineup of immersive recruitment and networking activities. The day began with opening remarks delivered by Dr. Gary Aston-Jones, Director of BHI, and Dr. Janet Alder, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Postdoctoral Affairs at Rutgers Health. The program featured 10-minute presentations from prospective postdocs. Following the presentations, faculty escorted candidates individually to their labs for personalized visits.

The event also included a networking lunch and dinner with current Rutgers postdocs, an iJOBS panel focused on industry career paths in medical affairs featuring alumni Drs. Luisa Fernanda Gomez-Alatorre, Robert Crozier, and Madison Godesky, who shared valuable insights, as well as group tours of core facilities on the Busch campus.
